Al fresco pizza spot in Arts District offering a blend of modern and retro vibes My sister had been raving about De La Nonna for a while now, so we finally made the trip out for a sister date on a Friday night!! Whipped eggplant (4/5)-- a tad on the salty side especially with the XO sauce, but pleasantly light and satisfying to scoop with airy, blistered spears of grilled focaccia. Sausage and peppers (4/5)-- there's nothing quite like the combo of grilled bell peppers, a touch of fennel, and an aromatic sausage to showcase the best of summer!! We loved how puffy, yet crispy, the crusts here tend to be. Each order came sliced into four rectangular slabs, perfectly sized to wolf down without seeming improper. Sicilian (5/5)-- this combination was my personal favorite. I'm a huge fan of herbs and loved the oregano leaves on my pie. It's just sooo savory. The toppings included a mix of capers, olives, and anchovies so you never knew which would surprise the taste buds with a mid-bite burst of saltiness next. It was a beautiful Friday evening for outdoor dining. The greenery both inside and outside only added to the serenity of the space. All orders are placed inside at the cashier, so the only waiting we had to do was for our food. So glad my sister showed me this spot!

This might be my top find of 2024. When my friends recommended coming here for dinner, I was a little hesitant. I assumed that a trip to LA meant we were gonna spend an arm and a leg for a cutesy little pizza that would not be filling. I left there pleasantly surprised and with leftovers! This restaurant is visually striking. The aesthetic is right up my alley. The host up front was very sweet. We did make a reservation prior, but when we walked up at 6:45pm on a Thursday it was pretty empty. I'm sure we would've been sat relatively quickly without the reservation. Once you're sat, you're given menus, cutlery and some water. We had a really attentive waitress come up to us and explain how to order. She also gave us recommendations and explained some of the items in the menu. To order your food you walk up to a counter where you're given a number to bring to your table. It took about 15 minutes for our appetizers to arrive, and then another 20 for the pizzas. We ordered the fennel and onion dip and the pepp pizza with the hot honey. The bread was soft yet crispy on the edges. It was the perfect texture to dip into the onion dip. The pizza was perfect size for two people. The hot honey glaze was spicy but sweet. The edges of the pizza were slightly charred in the best way. This was the best dinner experience I've had in a very long time. 10/10 for both.

Cute restaurant in the arts district! Once seated you receive a menu and when ready you order your food at the counter. Staff will bring to you once ready. Pizza was good and a favorite of mine was the frozen spritz. Parking is a mess lol not sure I saw any AT ALL. That part is a little stressful but luckily they have valet parking! It's a must!

A wonderful find in LA! De La Nonna is the whole package - beautiful, serene atmosphere, friendly service, great drinks and delicious food. We were immediately greeted and taken to a seat on the patio. You order at the counter and then the staff waits on you, bringing everything to your table. If you get the Caesar salad, definitely share it. It is different than your typical Caesar, but so delicious! We shared three different pizzas that were all fabulous. I highly recommend the White pizza. Loved the drinks too! Mine was the Lil Salty Dawg. A great dinner!

I made a spur of the moment decision to come here for a lunch date, and man was it a good decision. The spot itself is a little bit secluded in the arts district and from outside, the restaurant seems small but you'll be pleasantly surprised once you walk inside. The moment you step in, you're greeted with an otherworldly Italian countryside aura, filled with lush greenery, aesthetic chairs and tables, and a high-end espresso machine sat right next to where you order. We grabbed a menu and went to work deciding what we wanted. All of the options sounded delicious but we ended up with two espressos and decided to share a Sicilian pizza. The pizza came out piping hot and it was presented very cleanly! The crust was perfectly crispy on the edges and soft inside without being soggy. The toppings were simple yet tasty! The espresso was fantastic too, and the presentation of the shots were really aesthetic. They give you lemon peel, a biscotti, and a sugar rock to go with the espresso! This particular date was probably one of my top dates, and one big reason for this is just how pretty the dining area looked. We sat outside and the weather was pleasant, their music selection was spot on (when Clairo came on once we sat down, I knew it was gonna be a good time); everything about it was just heavenly. Talk about knowing how to set up the perfect atmosphere... well done to the owners/designers! Great service, good food, beautiful atmosphere that makes you feel like you're someone important. If you're like me and vibes and atmosphere are important to you, De La Nonna is the place to be! I definitely look forward to coming back!

The vibe of this place was super nice. There was an outdoor patio and even a lot of natural light inside with different tables. We got a corner booth and were in love with the decor and ambience of the place. Felt like I was in a nice place in Italy mixed with American influence. The service was very fast and the servers were attentive. The food was delicious but the price wasn't justified since I was a little bit hungry after finishing my pizza. We got a mixture of everything and I got a vegetarian sando which was good. The pizzas were a nice crust and the sauce had lots of depth.

Came here for an early dinner on a tuesday and it was basically empty! We sat in the patio which was very nicely decorated and shaded. Each table had a little flower vase that was cute but was causing a bee to harass us the whole time so we ended up having to move the flowers. We ordered when we got there and got our food in about 15-20 mins. We got the white pizza and cesar salad which were both delicious. I will say the pizza is on the pricer end for how small it is but we split the pizza and salad which was a good meal for both of us. The employees were friendly. We recommend sitting inside if you don't want bugs to bother you! I would come back for a date night or lunch date but not on the regular due to the price.

Super vibey and trendy spot that sits right in the super vibey and trendy area of Arts District. Highly recommend making a reservation since De La Nonna is a favorite amongst the Angelenos. Our group of four was seated in the indoor dining room at 8:30pm on a Friday night and the restaurant was poppin' with diners inside and on the patio. You walk up to the counter and order your food + beverage items and then they bring your items to your table - personally, I love and prefer this setup. You must get the pepperoni pizza with the spicy hot honey, it's a must. The pizza was crispy on the edges and light and fluffy on the inside. Also, cupping pepperoni for the win! The eggplant whip with warm ciabatta was also a nice surprise as it was creamy, unique in flavor, and spicy. You also can't go wrong with a beet salad. Considering overall LA pricing, this spot was reasonable considering the cute aesthetic, friendly De La Nonna-ers, and yummy food. The one and only con would be the lack of parking, surprise surprise.
